So I saw the biggest spider that I've ever seen in my life today, while doing field work. This photo does not do this bastard justice. It's web was as large as an average coffee table, and the spider itself was about the size of my hand. Since I was in the heart of a jungle, these things were literally everywhere. I don't mind spiders, but if they could be classified as a pet that would need a leash...well that's another thing. This was not in my job description.
